Christian Patterson
I've only been through Wisconsin twice (and then on road trips), but Christian Patterson photographs it just as I remember it: here's part of his continuing On Wisconsin series. His show Sound Affects shot in Memphis opens here in NY on October 25 at Yancey Richardson.

Raul, I am writing this on a library computer in Maine, but as I was driving south the other day thru bluberry country, I thought of you: I was shocked to see so many migrant bluberry pickers in the scorching sun ( many from Mexico and central America ). A friend of mine joined them one summer and is writing a book. But there is a big photography project just waiting to be made. (The poverty in northerm Maine is staggering.)
