Thanks for the presentation at the Apple Store tonight. Particularly liked the discussion on the problems of being both a traveller and a photographer.
My wife enjoyed the pictures from Xinjiang. Her aunt and uncle were sent there from Shanghai 30 years ago as part of a work program for several years.

This is one those moving pictures i wish i could have the opportunity to shoot. Just the simple gesture of adjusting his sons robes speaks volumes, you already assume that this is goodbye and his son will be making the journey alone, and that they wont meet for many years. In fact who knows if they'll ever meet again? Look at the maturity on his face, ready for his future. I love this shot, can i use it as a desktop image?

How about presenting the Cliff Notes version of your Apple store presentation for those of us who couldn't be in New York? I am always fascinated to know how your extensive travels came about. Can you tell I work for a newspaper?? Forever curious.
