Hi. I'm Raul, Raul Gutierrez. Welcome to my website. I am not Raul Gutierrez the Fu-Shih Kempo Knife Fighting Master. Nor am I Raul Gutierrez the saxophonist, the actor, the tenor, or the western artist. I'm one of many many Raul Gutierrez' in may family.

I'm the founder and CEO of Tinybop Inc, a digital toy company for kids. I also started PictureStudio, a platform for artists who want to wrangle AI and work on AI projects with teams or clients.

This is an old fashioned blog about the things I find interesting.

A version of this blog was started in 1996, it morphed, changed urls, split into several blogs, and, eventually, in 2004 became Heading East (when I moved to New York from LA). I blogged frequently through the birth of my kids and Tinybop, but then fell quiet for a over a decade. Recently I've been lamenting the loss of blogging culture, and realized I didn't blog for other people, I did it for myself. I like the act of writing about things I find interesting and posting pictures. Here's to lost causes.
