you often put items in the foreground... curtains and chairs in this example that have the effect of making the shot feel somewhat intimate. Do you do this on purpose?

This picture amazes me. Great perspective and colors. You don't see Jesus in poster size around here in Germany (he seems to look a little cross-processed ;-)...). It is great to find a blog like yours with a very different culture than I am used to. One of my friends got married to a Mexican woman and lives in the capital. Now I can relate much better to the stories he's been telling me about the visual aesthetics of the Mexican people.
Your entire Dominican Republic series is really wonderful. Sorry I haven't had the time yet to get to the rest of your site, but I will. Love these interiors.
