I think that this picture has potential but I would darken the background with the sky, the street and the buildings on the right a lot. i am sure you could also got some more detail out of the last buildings on the street.
i think that the eye always goes to large areas which are very bright and therefore my eye always jumps back to the much too bright street, away from the main subject.
Just my opinion. Looking forward to the new shots!

the heads of the persons out of focus down right form a great lead ending with the man with the binoculars... i like it alot; both the line and the selction of focus draw my attention to the guy.
while posting the last comment i looked at it while at work. looked really different. now i am back on my calibrated screen... :-) will you put a scan from the print online then? i wonder how it will look like!

didn't touch it... perhaps you are looking at it under different lighting or on a monitor with a different gamma...
this is pretty much a straight scan of the negative... I'm printing this one this week and for the record I am going to burn the background a bit...
