This is stunning work (as always). One of the things that I find so fascinating is that either your subjects are very aware of the camera, or completely not, amazing I think given the locales. . . does that make sense? I mean, how do you blend in so well in a scene like this?
I've found your photoblog two weeks ago and and I just want to say that I am absolutely in awe of your photographs. They not only capture the image of people but also their aura.
Thank you!
Wow. Incredible shot, Raul. Holy moly, shots like this make me want to take my camera and throw it in a lake.

This is a stunning picture... From the old woman with her dual walking sticks, to the medeval crowd behind, to the hint of a hand with the big gold ring. you have outdone yourself.
This leaves me almost speechless.
And yet, I could write a book on this photograph. More to the point, a book has been written on this photograph,...James Hilton's "Lost Horizon", and the movie of the same name released in 1937. Travelers have crash landed in a remote area of Tibet, and just beyond the mountain in the distance, through the pass, lies the valley of Shangri-la. The lush and beautiful valley where no one grows old.
I can literally feel the wind, smell the dust and hear the sounds in this image. Fantastic!
this is stunning. the dust blowing over the temples, the old woman's struggles in the foreground...and then that hand with the ring adding a little mystery.
